What: The biggest block party of the summer on Geist Bridge. The Bridge closes to car traffic from 5:30 pm to 11 pm. Attendees bring lawn chairs on the bridge to enjoy an evening featuring: a boat parade, skydivers, music, food vendors, and a KidsZone (face-painting, balloons, arcade games), all topped by an amazing fireworks show scheduled to start at dark. Over 10,000 enjoyed the bridge festivities in 2011!

Why: Help and Have Fun! In addition to having fun and being a major contributor to a community-building event, our volunteers will be fed Pucchini’s pizza, kept hydrated all evening and receive a cool event t-shirt. Volunteer shift times are:
+ 5:15-7:15pm ……help set up sales tables/tents; help vendors & in KidsZone
+ 7:15-9:15pm…… check i.d.s, affix wristband, help with vendors & KidsZone
+ 9:15-11:15pm…….sell glow sticks; help cleanup
Special Parking is also provided on the first shift. This event is run entirely by volunteers and we need your help. Please consider volunteering. It really is a fun event for our community!
